With a previous degree in Historical Research, an exceptional and indispensable skill in the search and obtaining of documentation and evidence in all types of archives, with a view to instructing/preparing the legalization processes of many properties and their respective Succession Tracts.

Dr. Carlos Melo Bento, born in 1941 in Ponta Delgada, is the most experienced and respected lawyer in the Azores Region. Graduated in Law from the University of Lisbon in 1964, he registered with the Bar Association in 1966 and has been practicing until the present. He was the First elected President of the Azores District Council of the Bar Association. He is a member of the Superior Council of the Bar Association in Lisbon. With more than five decades of experience, Dr. Melo Bento has been a prominent figure in Azorean advocacy.
